Thinking of Retiring in Prescott Arizona, 2016 may be your year!
Prescott Arizona continues to be increasingly popular as a living destination. With an elevation of 5,400 feet and a four-season climate which includes an annual snowfall of 24 inches and rainfall of 19 inches what’s not to love.
If you are contemplating on moving forward with that life change you’ve been dreaming about for years you may want to consider making the move in 2016 as the real estate market has rebounded tremendously since the downturn in 2007.
According the Prescott Area Association of Realtors (PAAR), in 2015 there was more than one billion dollars in total real estate sales which by the way hasn’t happened since 2006. Proof that the demand for real estate in Prescott remains high. Even with its popularity the Prescott area continues to offer a good value. According the PAAR’s MLS (multiple listing service) 84 percent of the real estate sales last year were properties selling for $300,000 or less.
With a downtown culture that you can enjoy year-round, hiking, golfing or simply relaxing, Prescott has something for everyone. Many homes in Prescott have views of scenic mountains that include Granite Mountain, Thumb Butte, and the Bradshaw and Mingus Mountain ranges. Would you prefer living downtown near the famous Whiskey Row and Courthouse Square? You can find great homes in walking distance from these historic landmarks.
Looking for something a little more subdued, how about a secluded cabin tucked away in one of the many forested sub-divisions in the area.
Wherever you choose to live, you’ll be close to the many natural wonders in the area from National Forest lands to one of the many lakes in the area. Prescott is truly a beautiful place to live!
